If you’re looking for good soul food with AMAZING service, I highly recommend this place! The older lady who greeted me, and my server Bri, were both extremely friendly and kind! The place was pretty empty so I was seated right away and got my food quickly. The meat loaf was okay, could’ve had more flavor and been cooked longer but the sides really made this meal stand out. Hands down the best sides I’ve had at a soul food restaurant! Everything was nice and hot, the flavor was on point. I’ll definitely be back! Also - they sell cake and it was very moist and flavorful. 👍🏽

My principal took staff members there for our team-building event, and we all enjoyed it. The food and service were good, even with a crowd of 20+ people. They were out of several menu items because they had just returned from a large catering event. Even so, they were able to provide most of the menu items that we requested. At the end of our meal, one of the employees (maybe the owner 🤷🏽‍♀️) asked if he could pray for us and we obliged. It was a great experience.

Came here for the first time on Wednesday 11/12 for lunch. We were a little nervous initially as we were the only people in the restaurant when it opened. The food was delicious! I had perch, yams and collards; only issue for me is that the perch (2 small pieces) was too little for my appetite. Yams were delectable and greens were delicious. The young woman who took care of us was very sweet natured and attentive.

Detroit Soul was surprisingly delicious. This was my first visit and it won't be my last! The restaurant was very clean, stylish, and the staff was friendly. All of my favorites were prepared well - just like home ( without the mess). I had the Catfish dinner with Mac&cheese, dressing, greens, and yams! Needless to say, I was hungry and Detroit Soul did not disappoint! SH

Took my dad to enjoy the food. My mom recently passed and this was the place he wanted to take her. He enjoyed the food along with his two grandkids. The smothered pork chops were great. Thanks for the great service and food. Also thanks for helping my dad enjoy a day without my mom being present. It was nice to see him smile.

I have been craving SF and found this absolute GEM. My fam and I visited today around 12:30. I had fried chicken meal with greens, yams and cornbread muffin. My cousin had shrimp meal with mac&cheese, yams and dressing with gravy. IT WAS SO GOOD! OUr server was awesome! FOOD was 💯 FR! And then dessert! Oh my word.... thee most moist cake I've had since my grandma cakes! Great experience!! Will definitely be back! Can't wait!!!!

I was at a networking event around the corner, we got out early just in time for me to catch this place open, it was the end of the day, like 30 minutes til closing and they were so nice greeted as soon as you walk in, of course there was only take out or pick up, the dining area was closed and being clean. The restroom was very clean and smelled great (a huge plus for me). I only ordered 4 wings and they were great, I plan on returning on a date with my husband to experience the full dining then I’ll update

We was driving past. Dropped in. We just ordered something to try out & the food, and im glad we did. Because it was AMAZING . Smothered Pork chops, dressing, & yams. The gravy was EVERYTHING 😋 Customer service was A1. I will definitely be back.

I had catfish for the first time here and it was delicious! The chicken was fall off the bone, the yams were hot and savory, the cornbread was authentic, and the strawberry shortcake was sweet and creamy. The owner is very friendly and has done a great job with the place.

My family and I were in there for a special event that my cousin had for Breast Cancer awareness. The atmosphere was great. Our server, Ms. Chris was awesome. The food was great as well! Thank you for a wonderful experience🩷
